Enough is Enough: An Amare View of Gratitude

On the Passover holiday, Jews sing a song called Dayenu, which means “enough” – referring to if only one miracle would’ve happened that would have been sufficient, and if only the second miracle happened that would have been plenty, etc. As Thanksgiving cues us to consider what we’re grateful for, think of your “enoughs” in business and life. Maybe it’s your colleagues, or the money you make, or doing work you love to do, or living in your zone of genius.

  • What one thing in your business life is enough?
  • And what additional thing would also be enough?
  • What in your personal life is enough?
  • Again, what additional thing would also be enough?
  • Do you know YOU are enough?

Three Amare Ways to Celebrate Enough

  1. Take inventory. Take two minutes right now and meditate on what is enough for you. Notice what comes up first, what feels like an obligation, and what uplifts you.
  1. Acknowledge it. Say it aloud. “If I only had _________ in my work life, that would be enough.” Repeat several times with more enoughs. Notice the feelings of gratitude and ease.
  1. Remember enough. Practice reminding yourself, that despite  hardships in your life, you can find and celebrate enough. You can breathe, you can think, you can read, you can be. All enough.

Thank YOU for Enough

I have the profound pleasure of coaching and consulting with incredible business leaders the world over. That is enough. And then I get to write books, and do podcasts, and connect with so many like-hearted people. That too is enough. And on top of that I can do it all with Amare – the uplifting and connecting energy of love. How grateful I am to all of you for joining me on this incredible ride I call The Amare Wave! I love you. Thank you.
