How to Make the Most of Who You Are
You want to be your best and fulfill all you can be. We all do. As a leader, you want your people to do the same, and they’ll look to you to be an example. With so much self improvement and leadership advice out there, it can be hard to know what to do. Consider:
- What does being your best look like?
- What helps you really know your own truth?
- What supports you in making the most of who you are?
Below are four practices that can help you step fully into your life and leadership and be fully and authentically you. They are not easy or new. They are powerful and effective. Experiment with them to know if they are right for you.
4 Amare Steps Toward Great Leadership That Make the Most of You
1. Be unstoppable. You know your purpose and path. Repeat what it is, again and again. Keep going; left foot, right foot. No matter the pace, your energy is moving. That’s progress.
2. Be free of deception. Identify one person, idea, song, and book, that lead you from deception and indoctrination, to the truth. Your truth. Surround yourself with these supportive resources.
3. Be in gratitude. For one hour today, be in total gratitude. Don’t be “anti” anything. Keep thinking of what you are grateful for… breathing, sunshine, food, work, humans, love, etc.
4. Be enthusiastically all in. Choose a project or task and say out loud, “I am all in!” Repeat it until you believe it. Notice how uplifting a full commitment feels. That’s amare!
